  4. This is definitely their weakest album, but it just shows how good the rest of their discography is, because it's still an 8/10 album. The sound is good, the instrumentals and lyrics are on point, and it's definitely got some of my favorite Avatar songs on it, but there's just something about it that makes it their weakest album, and I can't actually put my finger on what that is.
  5. After several lineup changes, the band released two four song EP demos in Personal Observations released on 18 January and 4 Reasons to Die on 19 November Avatar's first studio album, Thoughts of No Tomorrow, was released on 25 January and peaked at #47 on the Sweden Albums Top
  6. Jan 19,  · While this self-titled debut from Avatar isn't as good as their two most recent albums it's great to hear where the guys started. On this album Johannes sounds a bit more like King Diamond yet I know he finds his own voice as time goes on. This is a good album and I love this band so I wasn't at all disappointed by anything I heard here/5(46).

  8. Avatar – Hail the Apocalypse. Released: May 13 th, 4/5. On May 13 th, Swedish melodic death metal band Avatar released their fifth studio album, titled “Hail the Apocalypse” – and to be honest, it should have come sooner.. I came across Avatar just after they released ’s “Black Waltz” with their song “Let It Burn” which instantly got me hooked on these guys.
